Yoohoo!! So this is the blog for us 6 NYP S.I.T. students, Boon Wee, Beng Chung, Ashley, Serena, Zhong Ping and Yuyang, who are chosen to go for the OSEP (Overseas Student Exchange Programme) in Gachon University, South Korea for 4 months, and here are our updates for our trip!!
Day 0
So our flight was at 10.30 pm Singapore, and this picture was taken in Singapore Changi Airport. Although there were only 6 of us that were flying, lots of friends, families and also lecturers came to send us off that night, thank you everyone!
So we took Korean Airlines flight KE644 and this was our in-flight meal, Bibimbap!
Day 1
And finally after the 6 hours flight, we have reached Korea, Incheon Airport! We reached at local time 05.35am!
And then we waited for the person in charge, Mr. Yohan Kim to pick us up and made our way to the campus.
So we arrived at our campus and after checking in to our dorm, we went on and had a tour around Gachon University!
So after the tour around the campus, we went on to take the subway with our Korean buddies to buy our daily necessities at the nearby shopping centre!
Yes, our university has a subway stationed dedicated to it called Gachon Univ. station!

We went to this HUGE department store called NC department store to buy our daily necessities!

There is Krispy Kreme in Korea too! And they are super cheap, a dozen of assorted flavor for only 12,800 won! And those are our Korean buddies that brought us to the department store to purchase our items!
We ended the day with dinner in the campus! 1st dinner in Korea and the food price is pretty reasonable! We had fishcake, rameon, pork cutlet, kimchi and pickles! Price for each person is about 4500 won! And that is the end of day 1! :D
